In 1991, the band Americana Pearl Jam released its first album, Ten. From the very beginning the group had songs that became rock classics around the world. Today, after twenty years and many crises among its members, Pearl Jam has survived its success. In conversations about their career, Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready reveal the challenges and turning points over this period. Archive footage of interviews and historical performances complete this portrait of one the most important bands in the grunge movement. Toronto International Film Festival 2011.

Director

Born in 1957 in the United States. Launched his career working as a journalist specializing in music. He wrote the screenplay of the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). His first turn at directing was with Say Anything... (1989). Among his other films: Singles (1992), Jerry Maguire (1996), nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film, Almost Famous (2000), Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and Vanilla Sky (2001).
